Go for it!

Comment on Affordable Wedding Venue Ideas

These are fantastic ideas! Especially if you want to stay local and invite many guests. I think natural surroundings such as the beach or a park, as you suggested, add to the elegance of the day. Another way to make a destination wedding affordable is to find an all-inclusive resort package that will take care of the details for you. Many places have packages that include pretty much everything you'll need and you'll be assigned a personal coordinator. Depending on the size of your wedding, finding a destination wedding package may actually save you money!

Comment on Free Wedding for Military on Valentine's Day

Although I am already married, not in the military, and just saw this post, I still felt compelled to comment regarding the incredible generosity of the folks at The Chapel at The Farm! What a fantastic "personal" thank you to the men and women in the Armed Forces. I hope they were indeed able to perform at least 16 weddings for those who put themselves in harm's way to protect "the rest of us"! Very nice post - Thanks!

Comment on Affordable Wedding Venue Ideas

I thought this was a fantastic post in that it is so important to choose a venue which is easily accessible to your guests. Plus, by selecting a venue such as someone’s backyard or a local waterfront area, the money you will save is astonishing as you noted. That being said, some of these “savings” could then be applied toward hiring a GOOD band rather than a “DJ wannabe” with an iPod. I also agree with your statement that the use of a public park or beach results in concerns about privacy. However, with all of the money one saves, a couple of large, well built men could be “retained” to be positioned near the perimeter of the venue. While it is true that they could not prevent anyone from entering the area (as it is public) I’m pretty sure that their “presence” along with a kind demeanor would persuade most folks to provide the desired level of privacy! Thanks!

Comment on First Wedding Dance Videos

I love Wil and Shaun's first dance! I had never seen this before. It's so super cute that they did the whole Rhythm Nation dance! Super fun! Great swing dancing in the first video. Thanks for posting.

Comment on Have you thought of an iPad photo album?

Hi,
He came to my house, brought samples of his work and explained to me what I should expect from a photographer. I never once thought about some of the things he said, ie... is it a legitimate business/insurance/backup equipment/who the photographer is and his work etc....

Now I had some ammunition for my other appointments. One of the biggest things that sold me on selecting MatchStick Photography was him! He is such a personable guy he makes you feel like you have been friends for years. The other thing is I know who my photographer is going to be and I know I won't take a back seat to other weddings, he explained his limit is 3 weddings a month. I did receive a military discount seeing my fiance is in the military, something that he asked me. I could not be happier with my selection of a photographer. Understanding/dedicated/honest/prompt you name it, he portrays it. If your looking for a photographer...you really should call him....I'm so glad somebody put this up...it surely has made you search much easier.

Comment on Wedding Places NC

Planning your wedding...I would recommend Urban Events. They planned ours in summer 2009, which without doubt exceeded our expectations, resulting in wonderful memories for us, our family and friends. We are forever grateful.

Comment on Wine Country Wedding in Colorado?

My nephew is planning a wedding in Colorado later this year.
