Free Wedding for Military on Valentine's Day
Just spotted this on the online version of the Arizona Republic: Perfect for those living in the Phoenix/Chandler/Gilbert area and are active military - you and your fiancé can have a free elopement or wedding ceremony on Valentine's Day at The Chapel at The Farm in downtown Gilbert, Arizona.
You can choose from either their Elopement Ceremony (normally $99), which consists of a 15-minute ceremony for up to 4 guests, or their "Simply Charming Chapel Wedding" (normally $200) which is a 1-hour ceremony for up to 12 guests.
This freebie for active military personnel includes:
-
Use of the chapel and chairs
- Decorations
- Processional music
- Service performed by Reverend Amy Miller
- Free cupcakes for the Bride and Groom provided by Liberty Market
- Images from Moments in Film, which includes a free CD
The Chapel at The Farm is a 1920s-30s farmhouse which has been restored, renovated and moved to its current location at 397 S. Gilbert Road, where it serves as a wonderful wedding venue.
The Chapel can accommodate up to 16 couples throughout Valentine's Day. The Arizona Republic article stated that 3 couples have so far reserved a spot, so, if you want to take advantage of this generous offer, do call and make reservations at 480-752-3733.

Although I am already married, not in the military, and just saw this post, I still felt compelled to comment regarding the incredible generosity of the folks at The Chapel at The Farm! What a fantastic "personal" thank you to the men and women in the Armed Forces. I hope they were indeed able to perform at least 16 weddings for those who put themselves in harm's way to protect "the rest of us"! Very nice post - Thanks!
