New Hampshire Boat Wedding Venue

What could be more romantic than a lakeside wedding? A wedding on the lake!

Today we're focusing on Lake Winnipesaukee in Central New Hampshire, where you'll find 72 square miles of water surface, 253 islands, and a distance around the lake of 182 miles. That's right, plenty of space for your "I Do's". Lake Winnipesaukee is the largest lake in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and is a four-season destination, offering visitors boating, fishing, hiking and swimming in the Summer, hiking and biking in the Spring, beautiful color in the Fall, and downhill and cross-country skiing in the Winter.

Several companies offer lake cruises in the area, including the M/S Mount Washington, which offers couples a venue for weddings on the lake. The M/S Mount Washington is a 230-ft. excursion ship which offers offering daily scenic cruises and dinner dance cruises each evening, visiting 5 ports on Lake Winnipesaukee. You can charter the entire ship or one of their onboard lounges, where the captain can perform your ceremony for a fee of $150, in addition to the lounge rental fee. Lounges include:

  • Steamboat Lounge on the ship's lower deck, which can accommodate up to 75 guests
  • Captain's Lounge, with a 360º panoramic views of the lake, which accommodates up to 60 guests
  • Flagship Lounge, again with panoramic views of the lake, which can accommodate up to 125 guests

If you have a large wedding, you can charter the entire boat, which can accommodate 500 people for sit-down dinner, or up to 800 people for a reception-style event.
