Okay, there are unique wedding venues and there are weird wedding venues. I think saying "I do" while scuba diving underwater is pretty unique. I think saying "I do" while gliding peacefully over California wine country is unique. But, holding your wedding at a McDonald's restaurant? To me, that's just weird!

I just finished reading an article on CBS news site (which references a CNN story) about 3 Hong Kong McDonald's which offer their restaurants as wedding venues. At $1,000 a pop! What does that include?

• ceremony
• reception
• decorations
• personalized menu and catering
• apple pie wedding cake

I assume personalized menu and catering is still McDonald's food. How lovely. And an apple pie wedding cake? Oh, yes, something I waited all my life for. And, keep in mind, they don't shut down the restaurant just for your wedding. It's still open for anyone wanting a Happy Meal.

The article states that the restaurants get about 10 calls a month about weddings at McDonald's. Oh, well, to each her own I guess.
