Wedding Places NC

I just added another page to my Destination Weddings website about wedding venues in North Carolina , with information on garden weddings, golf club weddings, B&B weddings and boat weddings in the state of North Carolina. One venue I hightlighted was the Biltmore House, located in Asheville, North Carolina. The Biltmore Estates is a popular place in Asheville to tour, as well as an awesome place for a wedding.

The Biltmore House is an 8,000 acre estate which was built in the late 1800s by George Vanderbilt. Not only are there lovely gardens, as well as a winery, but you're in the neighborhood of the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing a lovely backdrop for your wedding, as well as giving your guests plenty of outdoor activities nearby. The Biltmore House was a 2008/2009 pick by The Knot for "Best of Weddings."  They offer couples several spots for their wedding, including the Stable Courtyard & Gardens, which surround the castle. Brides can arrive in a horse-drawn carriage. There is also the Barn in Antler Hill Village, located below a forested hillside.  Go to Biltmore.com/weddings for more details

Here's a video I found on YouTube which shows you views of the Biltmore House:

One venue I forgot to mention on my page on North Carolina weddings is the Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa, which overlooks Asheville, as well as the Blue Ridge Mountains. They offer several wedding and reception venues on the property, including numerous outdoor terraces with views of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains, two ballrooms, a Cascade Landing, and their historic Country Club. If you request, they can provide recommendations on ministers and photographers, as well as hook you up with a variety of musicians who will perform at your wedding, from string quartets to blue grass to jazz, and all sounds in between.  For more information on their wedding services, go to their website at groveparkinn.com. Below I've included a YouTube video with highlights of the resort:

Planning your wedding...I would recommend Urban Events. They planned ours in summer 2009, which without doubt exceeded our expectations, resulting in wonderful memories for us, our family and friends. We are forever grateful.
