Yeah, I could get married in a place like this
I pride myself in finding inexpensive places to get married. This isn't one of them. it's Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands, owned by Sir Richard Branson and, yes, available for your wedding. The good news is that when you stay on Necker Island, what you get is all-inclusive: your accommodation, all meals and drinks, (that includes fine wines and champagne), and, of course, your 50-person staff just itching to tend to your needs. The bad news is that most people can't afford it. But, if you're one of the lucky who can, or, if you hit the lottery before your wedding, you may want to ditch your wedding plans at the Best Western and consider it.
You can rent the entire island exclusively for yourself and up to 28 guests, or book an individual room and share the island with other guests during certain times of the year set aside for non-exclusive use, which they call "Celebration Weeks."
If you rent the entire island for your exclusive use the price is $51,000 per night. Now, before your jaw drops, you have to realize that if you have 28 guests, that just comes out to $1,821 per night per guest. I'm sure your guests wouldn't mind chipping in some bucks. (yes, I am joking) Oh, and a minimum stay of 5 nights applies. So, lets see, $51,000 a night for 5 nights... $255,000.
Calling Best Western....
Now, in all fairnes, the prices are considerably cheaper if you stay during one of the Celebration Weeks. Then your rates start at $25,400 per couple per week.
Not really sure how much extra the wedding is, or if it's complimentary. But, if you really want to know you can write them and ask. Their email address is: enquiries@virginlimitededition.com
