There's a company in Stanley, Idaho which will take groups of people rafting on the Salmon River for family reunions, corporate retreats, and yes, wedding parties! This just sounded so cool to me. They say that most of the rafting season the rapids in that area are moderate, from Class 1 to Class 3, so even non-experienced whitewater rafters can enjoy themselves. In fact, their website states that "about 75 percent of our guests have never rafted before."

They offer full-day rafting trips with lunch (vegetarian side-dishes included), as well as half-day trips without lunch.
